England land another win

The preparations now are over and the last match of England was a solid performance by the English players as they gave Hodgson the second consecutive win. The goal came from the potential future star Danny Welbeck, as he is showing that he truly deserves to be in the English line-up, with fine work from Ashley Young. The game was based on good solid defense and tactical discipline, which one has to say it is proving to work until now. It may be tough for England to score, but the team is showing that they will be tough to beat. Belgium had a lot of possession but they were unable to produce a lot of goal scoring opportunities, with Hazard unable to conclude. Hodgson must still be aware that the match was against Belgium, and other big teams are more difficult to control and to give that much possession.

The game saw also Gary Cahill being substituted after an awful with Joe Hart, and he will take a pre-cautionary x-ray today. Even John Terry appeared to be injured after holding his hamstring. Man of the match was surely Welbeck, and for most he should play instead of Andy Carroll. Belgium hit the post but Defoe also failed to net an easy chance. Rooney played a part also in the game, so that he will be given some match opportunity before the Euro Championship. Chamberlain started also the match, and he showed that he was calm, and showed that he is a promising player. He had a chance early on but he slipped at the crucial moment after a cross by James Milner, but his performance was solid. As the game went on Oxlade faded, and he was eventually substituted by Theo Walcott.
