Germany have a better players than Denmark, and are also capable of defending rather well, but their counter attacks are even more worrying for Denmark. With a draw Germany will win the group, while Denmark with a draw they can go through if Netherlands won, and with a win they will got through for sure. If Denmark wins and Portugal do not win they will end up first.

Germany need to avoid losing against Denmark to qualify from the group of death. Even though the Germans are favourites to win this match, Germany boss Joachim Low has stated that they must not underestimate the Danes, as they have shown that they can be dangerous (following a surprise win over The Netherlands and a narrow defeat against Portgual). The Danes know that their qualification can be compromised if Portugal win, so they could look to try and get maximum points.
