Damiao snubs Tottenham

Internacional striker Leandro Damiao has revealed that he rejected an offer from Tottenham in order to stay in Brazil. The 22-year-old is regarded as one of the hottest prospects of South American football and has been linked with a move to Europe. A number of English Premiership clubs are reported to be interested in signing his services, but Tottenham were the only side to make an offer. Damiao explains that he does not want to leave Internacional for now, In fact, he said that he will try and reach the World Cup while playing for the Brazilian team. The player has made 8 caps for the Selecao , and is expedcted to participate in the 2012 Olympics.
