Harry Redknapp will stay at Tottenham... for now

Harry Redknapp's future is becoming more and more uncertain, as lately there was a speculation that he resigned. The Spurs manager is set to meet the president Daniel Levy at Wednesday (tomorrow), to discuss his contract. Levy is reportedly disgusted at the way Tottenham finished the season last year, and so it could be Harry's last season at Tottenham, if he accepts the situation. Harry Redknapp denied the speculation that he had quit by saying that they are purely lies, and he has no idea why he should resign. He said this is all because of the liberty of the media to speculate, which isn't fair. He said that the one year contract left at Tottenham wishes to be respected, and maybe even other seasons.

Tottenham's season ended in disaster, as they not only continued to challenge for the title, but even though they managed to grab the fourth place, they still missed the Champions League spot. From February Redknapp won only 4 out of 13 games, his bad run started by losing 5-2 against their rivals Arsenal. The contract extension were stopped after Harry expressed his interest that maybe one day he will coach England, which reportedly the president of Tottenham did not like. Last week he also re-confirmed the statement by saying that if the job was offered to him, he would have accepted it. He said also that if Tottenham offered him a contract he would stay, so it's all up to them. He said that if the club did not renew the contract it could have bad effects on the players. He said that players that are good will have their contracts renewed and not kept until the contract finishes, and so if Tottenham think he's good they should offer him a contract.
