One of the "Three 6 Mafia" who won an Academy Award for their 2005 song "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" for Best Original Song at the 78th Academy Awards for the film Hustle and Flow,
Darnell Carlton, aka Crunchy Black of Three 6 Mafia, has been shot and is currently hospitalized.
Details are not available at this time, a photo of Black has been released, picturing the rapper lying in a hospital bed on his way to recovery.

The police are still investigating the shooting, but based on the photo shot, gunshot's obviously done a serious amount of damage.
