Bert van Marwijk: "Afellay can be the Dutch Zidane"

The Netherlands coach has no hesitation to say that Ibrahim Afellay can fulfill the attacking role of the Dutch, which is similar to Zinedine Zidane's preferred position. In the few matches in which he was utilised by Barcelona Afellay has always been played on the wings. The battle for the trequartista position in the Dutch team however, is a tough one, with Welsey Sneijder and Rafael van der Vaart also wanting to fill in that position. van Marwijk is likely to put Afellay on the wings, but with the chance to cut inside in every opportunity.
