Villareal manager dies

Manuel Preciado dies after just 1 day at Villareal as coach; the cause of his death is a heart attack. Villareal were relegated this year, and the club appointed Preciado just yesterday as their new coach. Preciado was sacked by Sporting Gijon last January after he helped Gijon earning promotion to La Liga twice. As a player he played as a defender for Mallorca, Alaves and Gimnastica just to mention a few. His coaching career began at racing Santander, then Levante and Murcia before joining Sporting Gijon where he remained for 6 years. Fabregas and Pique were among the first players to express their condolences.
