Redknapp wants a response on his contract

Harry Redknapp wants a decision by Tottenham on his contract, as he believes it is very dangerous to let a contract run until the end before deciding the future. Redknapp has been in charge of Tottenham since 2008 and enjoyed a good spell of time, but his contract has not yet been renewed. He wants an extension but the president Daniel Levy does not seem to be in the same position, as he seems to want another coach. However he denies this as he says that their relationship is rather a good one, and is calm to see whether Tottenham wants him or not. Harry added that during his time he finished fourth twice and even reached a quarter final of the Champions League and played entertaining football.

Asked again on his contract Redknapp said that leaving a contract run until the end is very dangerous, but he did not look elsewhere until now. He said that from experience when a player has only 1 year left at his contract, he does not perform well. He said that if you think that someone is good you give him an extension and not let his contract run until the end. "It's up to the club now to decide," concluded Harry. He denied also that the links of Chelsea and Qatar are not true, as he did not receive any offers, and even more he did not go search for them. In fact he has never been in Qatar yet. The decision is of the president so it's up to him to decide.

To conclude in my opinion Harry Redknapp has done a good job transforming manager, but the last part of last season proved to be too much for him, as instead of fighting for the title, he ended up fourth, and losing the even a Champions League spot. Also the fact that the offer for England was tempting for Harry, infuriated Daniel Levy together with the disappointment of last year's season.
