Di Matteo is expected to be confirmed

Chelsea are expected to confirm Roberto Di Matteo as their permanent coach, this week. Last week Di Matteo had talks with Roman Abramovich, where he was assured that he will stay at Chelsea. Di Matteo is currently on holiday with hi family, and then talks will starts when he returns, at about Wednesday or Thursday. Di Matteo was the man that guided Chelsea to win for the first time the Champions League, and also to win the FA Cup, as he lost only 3 matches from when he took over. The position was further strengthened as the players told the media that Di Matteo helped the team a lot to gain confidence back in themselves, and that is another key factor that affected Abramovich decision to keep Di Matteo. Di Matteo did not want another short-term contract, as he wanted to have authority at the club and also to take decisions which are not short-termed. But it is expected that both parties agree on the new contract sometime this week.
