Craig Bellamy to represent Great Britain

Liverpool striker Craig Bellamy claimed that he was contacted to be included in the GB Olympic squad. Stuart Pearce is allowed to include 3 players over the age of 23 in the squad, and Bellamy who is from Wales appears to be 1 of them, as he is 32 years old. He said at Liverpool he had a difficult season, but the Olympics is a one-off event which he will not miss. David Beckham also wants to be included while Manchester United reportedly allowed Ryan Giggs to be included if he will be asked. Other players who wish to be in the squad are Darren Fletcher, Joe Cole and Chris Brunt.
