Wikshire hoping that Australia win

The Australian midfielder Luke Wilkshire expects Denmark to be a tough opposition, but it will help them to perform well ahead of the Asian World Cup Qualifying games. Australia's coach Holger Osieck had not been able to train the team since February, which was before a friendly against Saudi Arabia which they won 4-2. After this friendly match Australia will face Oman away in 8th June, and home against Japan in 12th June. Last World Cup Qualifying Australia went through easily, beginning the campaign with a 4-0 win. According to Wilkshire he thinks that the 'Socceroos' can do it again even though the group appears to be tougher than the previous one.

He said results count and they are hoping to begin well. Oman is also a tough opposition especially when they play at home. In fact last time Oman faced Australia they managed to score, and so Australia have to play well to beat them. In the group they also have Japan, having quite a good talent in recent years, especially when the players are starting to play in Europe.
