Stramaccioni signs new contract

After a good start to his campaign as Inter coach, having won 5 games from nine last season, especially the important victory against Milan in the derby, Stramaccioni has been given a contract extension for another 3 years. The young coach who is only 36 years old has never had any experience as a coach apart from coaching the Inter primavera squad and leading them to the European Championship title. However he managed to impress his superiors at Inter with his new ideas and with his tactical approach. He has brought back enthusiasm to the players which was missing from the days of Mourinho.

He kind of reminds them of Mourinho himself. He is known for bringing youth players into the first team and he has already inserted Longo (the key player for the primavera victory of the European Championship) and Coutinho who has impressed with the loan spell at Espanyol. Stramaccioni wants to build a new Inter filled with young talent with a mix of experience from the seniors and he has already declared his intentions: To win a treble starting with the Europa League next season. Is he the right man for the job?
