PM Mario Monti: "Italian football should be suspended"

According to Italy Prime Minister, Mario Monti, the Italian FA should suspend its football for 2-3 years because of corruption. The latest scandal called 'Scommessopoli' resulted in Domenico Criscito being withdrawn, and Lazio captain Stefano Mauri arrested. 6 years ago, Italian football was also hit by a major scandal involving mainly Juventus, which saw the Bianconeri being relegated. Yesterday the police raided Criscito's locker in Coverciano, to search for any evidence. This latest scandal infuriated Monti so much that he said that drastic actions are needed to be taken. This latest scandal created deep sadness and humiliation for him, as the case continues to grow and unfold. In fact he even is proposing this action in Parliament, but as he said it's his opinion and not of the government; and this is done for the benefit of Italian football.
