Scholes to play for 1 more year

There were news today from Manchester as Paul Scholes agreed for another 1-year extension, together with Ben Amos agreeing for another 3 years with United. Last year Scholes retired, but was called back and played a key figure at Manchester, with Sir Alex Ferguson saying that he will renew Scholes contract. Scholes first game came as a substitute against Manchester City, which saw the Red Devils win that game. Scholes made 17 appearances in the Premier League this year adding also 4 goals, and came close to winning the title. In total he played nearly 700 games with Manchester United, scoring 154 goals, becoming the third most player who played for Manchester United. Scholes retired from international duty in 2004, but Capello tried to call him back in 2010, but Scholes rejected the offer.

Ben Amos debuted with Manchester United in January against Stoke which saw him clinch the clean sheet in that match. Amos featured mainly in the Carling Cup matches with United. Ben Amos could be loaned out again to gain more experience.
