This is the kind of episode that I truly enjoy. I was at the edge of my seat, confused, sometimes cheering Damon on, etc. It's quite great! Now for the character breakdowns and my thoughts on them :)
Stefan - he's way out of his league. He's not strong enough for Klaus OR Rebecca. I feel like he would just eventually die if he doesn't kill them first. Poor guy. On the other hand, I LOVE how he acts bad :D It's kinda hot. Too bad it's all pretend.
Elena - poor Elena, she's torn between Stefan and Damon. When she asked "what would that say about me?" when Caroline bluntly lectured her about Damon, I answered "you're human." And what do you know, That's exactly what Caroline said, too! :D
Damon - oh my gosh, Damon. He's super hot, super pissed, and super destructive. He's a super vampire! :D I was like "Go Damon, Go Damon!" the whole time when he was attacking Caroline's father. It's amazing he didn't kill him right there. Damon is just my favorite character :D I love how he becomes so vulnerable sometimes and then goes and eat people to reign himself in. Also, is it just me or does Damon have the loveliest eyes ever?!! Those are his real eye color, right? They're not contacts? They're extremely light to be normal.
Caroline - who would have thought she was that strong? She's so sweet but when she's angry, she's quite a good match for Damon! Go Caroline! I also love how she's such a good friend to Elena :) Lastly, I love her relationship with Tyler. It's so cute!! :D
Jeremy - I don't know what to think of this guy. He's torn between Bonnie and his ex-girlfriends. For some reason, I feel like Anna is the one that has the dark vibe, not just Vicky.
Bonnie - she just got back and she's already dealing with trouble. Tsk tsk.
Katherine - she's so cool. Even when she pretends to be Elena, I knew it was her, just seconds before she smiled and gave her identity away to Damon. I love how she's trying to help Stefan, but I can't help wondering, what does she really want? And why did she pretend to be Elena to get the necklace?
Mayor & Sheriff - I've developed respect for these two women throughout the season. It sucks that their kids (Caroline & Tyler) had to be "monsters" in order for them to accept supernatural beings, but them staying by their children's side is quite admirable :)
Ric - I'm a bit worried about him. Obviously he's pissed with Damon. Who knows what's going through his head? Being killed twice doesn't really make a person love a vampire more.
Klaus & Rebecca - these two originals are just too dang powerful. I'm worried, but at the same time, they are scared of a vampire hunter. I thought Klaus can't be killed... Hmm. And who knew Rebecca had that canny ability of being intuitive? Weirdly enough, Klaus is growing on me. He's quite charming.
