American Idol update: JESSICA SANCHEZ highly praised again for May 2 performances!!! See the videos here!

Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and Sklyar Laine topped "American Idol" per usual, on a night when the judges only stood once but threw around some eye-popping praise.

Randy Jackson was so moved by Sanchez's "You Are So Beautiful" that after praising her "wisdom and talent as a singer" he continued with, "it's so pro, people who have been singing 50 years can't do this. Your talent level is unbelievable."

He topped his own words after Ledet's "To Love Somebody," saying, "you have to be born to do that, this is not a learned thing . . . You are one of the best singers ever on this show, that was incredible. Nobody could do that better."

Jessica Sanchez "Proud Mary"

Jessica Sanchez "You Are So Beautiful"

It was an exciting evening of familiar songs and everyone seemed to have a great evening but no one can deny, Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet is predicted to be the Top 2!

Here are some notes on the performances.

1) Jessica Sanchez "You Are So Beautiful"
One of her most vocally strong performances it truly showcased how much in control she is of her voice and she showed how beautiful her tone is and sang the entire song gently. A true sign that she has discipline and intelligence. Jennifer Lopez said "it captivated the whole audience."

2) Joshua Ledet "To Love Somebody"
As always is the most overrated. Getting standing ovations all the time it seems the show is working hard to make him win. Jennifer Lopez said flat out, "it's been years since we've seen somebody like this."

3) Skylar Laine "Fortunate Son"
Had great energy and was sung well; as Lopez says, she "attacks every single song."

4) Skylar Laine "You Don't Have to Say You Love Me"
A nice country twist, Randy Jackson said he was "transfixed."

5) Hollie Cavanagh "Bleeding Love"
Was a surprise again and shows that actually can sing well. Lopez calling it "beautiful and intimate." She may not stay much longer but at least she might leace with a good impression.

6) Joshua Ledet's "Ain't Too Proud to Beg"
The usual wailing and growling it's almost tiring.

7) Jessica Sanchez "Proud Mary"
Given that Jessica needs a little more attitude, she still sang this to great aplomb!

8) Hollie Cavanagh "River Deep, Mountain High"
It was okay, decent and good for her.

9) Phillip Phillips "The Letter"
Could spell trouble for Philip. It lost most of its melody and lacked originality. Truth be told, he is a tad overrated too.

10) Phillip Phillips "Time of the Season" Jusdges simply said "nice," "good" and "well."

So, who do you think will go home? Go figure.... Hollie or Philip? Or maybe even Skylar.
