Stand-in Wife by Karina Bliss Review

Stand-In Wife
This book was cute :)

I think Ross and Viv could have had so much more time together. Unfortunately, the central idea of the story was that Viv was to impersonate her sister, which means her energy would be focused on making sure she wasn't found out, and taking care of the kids.

Ross - he's adorable. Seriously, there was a point when I was reading from his perspective and an image flashed in my head. I love me a strong man, even when he has revenge fantasies :)

Viv - she's such a strong woman, I truly admire her. She's successful with commitment issues. But I love her anyway. She's felt inferior to her sister all her life and yet she loves her. Awesome Viv :)

Tilly (Attila) - aww, she's cute! She's a mini Ross and it's so adorable!!!

Harry - he's such a teddy bear.. So young and clueless, but I love him esp the way he deals with the dog Salsa.

It's interesting how this entire book had the time frame of an entire week. Pretty darn cool if you ask me.

What I didn't like:

  • I thought the book could have been edited/proofread better. I don't like to read books with typos and punctuation errors. It takes away the excitement of the story.
Overall, I enjoyed the book. I suggest checking it out if you like Harlequin romances :)

Fave quotes/scenes:

"Look on the bright side," he (Ross) suggested. "At least we get to have sex again."
"You don't decide that," she (Viv) cautioned. "I do. And frankly, I don't enjoy being taken for granted. Where's the gratitude, where's the reverence? Take a number and stand in line, buddy."
"When a boy likes a girl and he's too scared to ask if she likes him," Ross said seriously, "he gets a friend to do it for him. Ask her (Viv), Attila."
