Poland 1 - 0 Greece (half-time report)

Poland are ahead 1-0 deservedly, and Greece problems increased after the referee showed Sokratis Papastathopoulos the second yellow card and so they will play a whole half with 10 players. Poland could have opened the score early in the game Lukasz Piszczek crossed the ball to Robert Lewandowski, but failed to make contact with the ball, and a few minutes later, a shot by Rafal Murawski forced Kostas Chalkias to make a good safe. Greece had a chance after 15 minutes when Fanis Gekas received the ball, flicked it but his shot went wide. However Poland started to dominate the pitch and took the lead thanks to Robert Lewandowski who took the chance from the Greek goalkeeper's mistake. Greece had another half chance with Gekas however again the shot ended wide. Problems for Greece in the match continued after Avraam Papadopoulos had to leave the pitch because of an injury, and instead entered Kyriagos Papadopoulos. Greece ended the half time with the possession but Greece late in the half had Sokratis Papastathopoulos sent off for a minimal challenge.
