Newcastle target desperate to leave

Brazilian defender Douglas Teixeira has declared that he is desperately looking to switch clubs during the transfer window to leave Twente. He believes that after five years with the Dutch side the time has come for a new challenge. Newcastle United, with whom he started his career, are leading the race for his signature, even though the player confirms that four more clubs are interested in his services. Douglas said that a team that is stronger than Newcastle has been in touch with him, and he is eager to join this unnamed Brazilian team.
