Afellay praises partnership with van Persie

Ibrahim Afellay has stated that his friendship on the pitch with Robin van Persie is an asset to the Dutch team. After the last friendly which ended 6-0 in the Netherlands' favour, Afellay spoke of his good understanding with the Arsenal striker, both on and off the pitch. Afellay described this relationship as a "click" and described it as "football language". Afellay exploited his position magnificently in the last match against Northern Ireland, in which he scored two goals and provided two assists. The Barcelona man missed a big part of the 2011-2012 season due to injury, but he is optimistic about his future and has said that he prefers not to moan about his injury, but continue onwards.
